Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw who is being advertised as the host for comedian Akpororo‘s comedy show, Apkororo vs Akpororo, scheduled to hold on July 8, 2016 at Eko Hotel is very angry.

The actress through her management has issued a public disclaimer saying she’s not been contacted in any way or manner for the said event.

Kate Henshaw also writes, ‘There is a thing called RESPECT in this industry. The sooner people recognise this..the better it will be for all. Do not take my smile and simplicity for stupidity! Notice of 48hrs is hereby given to the organisers to remove my name and image from all publicity associated with this event. Thank you‘.

School Teacher Rapes 14-Year-Old Girl in Lagos with N30

A secondary school teacher, Cosmos Ubaja, was on Monday arrested by the police in Lagos State for allegedly raping a 14-year-old schoolgirl in Ikorodu area of the state.

The unnamed teenager had gone to Ubaja’s shop to make photocopies after school hours when the accused lured her into sleeping with her.

According to the Punch, the victim, a Junior Secondary School, Class 3 student in a public secondary school in the Owutu area of Ikorodu, had been allegedly raped by the suspect on several occasions in eight months and was always given peanuts such as N50, N100 and N30, each time.

Thieves in Kwara Are Now Stealing Cooked Food

It’s been a long day and your stomach is basically saying “epp me”. So you drag yourself to the kitchen to make a nice pot of Jollof or even Eba.


And just when you’re about to serve your food and eat till you pass out…


You realise some people have moved your pot of food.


This food theft is reportedly happening in many parts of Kwara state such as Tanke, Basin, Sango and Offa Garage, especially to people living in unfenced houses.


As reported by The Guardian, these wicked thieves look out for people’s cooking pots and steal them right when the food is ready.


However, the police spokesman, Ajayi Okasanmi, vowed to deal with anyone caught stealing food according to the Penal Code.


The former chairman of the NLC, Emmanuel Ayeoribe, even related this shocking events to the non-payment of Kwara state workers’ salaries.


It is unfortunate to realise the lengths people in Kwara state have to go just to feed themselves. We hope these salaries get paid on time so the crime rate doesn’t rise to a dangerous level.

Militant group, Niger Delta Sea Commandos, NDSC, has insisted that the group is not funded by politicians.


The group said, “We commend Junaid for remembering that Boko Haram is a terrorist group, but we want to unequivocally tell the ethnic bigot that we are just agitators and not terrorists. Our activities and Boko Haram cannot be compared.


“We are not deterred by the call by Junaid Mohammed because such calls will only facilitate the crumbling of Nigeria, which is what we are after. Junaid should be informed that we never begged to be appeased by Hausa/Fulani President, Muhammadu Buhari.


“We are only fighting to leave Nigeria, which has enslaved and exploited us for too long. We are not sponsored by any politician, but it a civic duty required of us to liberate our people from slavery.”

A driver identified as Raymond Anyanwu was arrested, in Ajao Estate, Isolo, Lagos state.

The 41-year-old Anyanwu said he committed this taboo out of frustration after losing his job.

“I started sleeping with my 15-year-old daughter sometime around January, after I lost my job. I am a transporter, but I took to alcohol after I lost my job and could not meet up with my responsibilities as the head of the house.”

Her mother who was later arrested for aborting the pregnancy, was said to have decided to keep it down low as a family secret after she was beaten up and threatened by her husband not to tell anyone.
