An Enugu Chief Magistrates’ Court presided over by Chief Magistrate F. Chukwu on Wednesday granted bail to two accused persons in the sum of N200,000 each.

The accused persons, Immaculate Oguejiofor and Walter Oguejiofor, are facing charges of assault before the chief magistrate.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that while Immaculate is being tried for allegedly stabbing one Mr Okafor with a broken bottle, Walter is accused of damaging a roofing sheet, with both incidents taking place at the same place and time.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Counsel to the accused, Messrs P.D. Okafor and S.I. Anike respectively, pleaded with the court to grant their clients bail.
